Liz serves as the vice-president and director of programs for Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation, where she has worked since 2015. In this role, she evaluates grant applications for a variety of arts and humanities charitable efforts and makes decisions on recipients. Prior to moving to Indianapolis, Liz spent eight years serving as the executive director of a Louisville, KY refugee resettlement organization, Kentucky Refugee Ministries, where she oversaw the resettlement of many hundreds of refugee families.

LIz is also an ordained minister, earning her Master of Divinity degree in 1990 following the receipt of her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. Mostly recently, she served as an interim associate pastor for Irvington Presbyterian Church (IPC), leading to her connection with two other FSTN board members, Bob and Jenni Heimach. It was Liz’s leadership and influence that led a group at IPC to form a relationship with Exodus Refugee and co-sponsor a refugee family, the Alhamwi’s. This starter group formed the core of what is now called FSTN - From Strangers to Neighbors.

Liz and her husband, Mike Hall, have a blended family of five college-aged to adult children. Liz also co-owns a farm on which she can be found happily working amongst the menagerie of rescued animals that call the farm home - horses, dogs, chickens, goats and cats.
